# Choose your notifications

Choose which Drime events notify you and where, by email, in your browser or on your phone, and see the notifications that are always sent.

For each kind of event, you choose whether Drime tells you by email, in your browser, on your phone, or not at all.

## Choose your notifications

1. Click your avatar, top right, then **Settings**, and choose **Notifications** in the menu on the left.

   The **Notifications** item of the avatar menu opens your list of notifications, not these settings.

2. Under **Notify me when…**, tick or untick each channel for each event: **Email**, **Browser** or **Mobile**.

   Turning on **Browser** asks your browser for permission first.

3. At the bottom, click **Update preferences**.

   The button shows a check mark, and **Updated preferences** confirms the change.

## The events you can choose

| Section | Events |
| --- | --- |
| **Notify me when…** | **I am invited to workspace**, **A file or folder is shared with me**, **Someone comments on my file**, **Someone uploads files to a shared folder**, **A cloud import (Google Drive / Dropbox) finishes**, **Someone requests my signature**, **A signer signs one of my documents**, **One of my documents is fully signed**, **A signer declines one of my documents** |
| **Drime Pages** | **A task reminder I set is due**, **A task in a page is assigned to me**, **A reminder I set on a date in a page is due** |

For new accounts, **Someone uploads files to a shared folder** does not send emails until you tick **Email** for it.

## Notifications that are always sent

Some messages do not depend on these choices, because you need them:

- when someone mentions you;
- when someone sends you a file request;
- when someone shares an item with an address that has no Drime account;
- the new sign-in alert: see [I got a new sign-in alert](https://drime.cloud/support/security-and-privacy/suspicious-sign-in).

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **Notifications blocked. Please enable them for this site from browser settings.** | Your browser refuses notifications from Drime. Allow them for this site in your browser's settings, then tick **Browser** again. |
| You get no email for files added to a shared folder | Email is off by default for **Someone uploads files to a shared folder**. Tick **Email** for it, then click **Update preferences**. |
| Your changes are gone when you come back | Click **Update preferences** after ticking or unticking: changes are only saved then. |
