# See a file's details and activity

Open the details panel of a file or folder to see its size, owner and dates, who has access, and its activity history.

The details panel shows everything about a file or folder: its properties, who has access, and what happened to it.

## Open the details panel

Select the file or folder: its details appear in the panel on the right. If the panel is closed, right-click the item and choose **Info**, or press `Ctrl` + `Alt` + `Y` (`Cmd` + `Option` + `Y` on a Mac).

## Details

The **Details** tab shows:

- **Properties**: type, size, location, owner, dates of creation and last change, and for a folder the number of files;
- **Who has access**, with **Manage Access** to change it;
- **Tags**;
- for photos and videos, their information: duration, resolution, codec, frame rate or photo data.

## Activity

The **Activity** tab lists what happened to the item: added, viewed, moved, renamed, edited, shared, commented, downloaded, deleted and restored, with who did it and when.

- Filter by type of action, by person, or by period: today, the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
- For a folder, the activity covers everything inside it.
- The latest 200 entries are shown.

Only the owner, or people the item is shared with directly, can see its activity.
