You can open an archive to see what is inside, and extract it into your Drive, without downloading it first.

## Look inside an archive

Double-click the archive. Drime shows its content for ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, RAR and 7z archives. You can open a single file from it, up to 5 GB.

## Extract an archive

1. Right-click the archive and choose **Extract**.

2. If the archive is protected, type its password under **Archive Password (if required)**.

3. Click **Extract here**.

The extracted files are added to your Drive and count toward your storage. Extraction works for ZIP, RAR and 7z archives.

## Limits

| What | Limit |
| --- | --- |
| Files in one archive | 10,000 |
| Compression ratio | 100x at most |
| Opening one file from an archive | 5 GB |

## If extraction fails

| Message | Reason |
| --- | --- |
| **Archive contains … files, limit is 10000.** | The archive has more than 10,000 files. Extract it on your computer instead. |
| **Suspicious compression ratio detected (possible zip bomb).** | The archive is compressed more than 100 times, which Drime refuses for safety. |
| **Not enough storage space to extract this archive. …** | Your storage is full. [Free up space](https://drime.cloud/support/drive/check-and-free-up-storage) or upgrade your plan. |
