Parental controls apply to children's accounts only. All four are on when you create the account. See [Create an account for your child](https://drime.cloud/support/family/child-accounts).

## The four controls

| Control | What it blocks |
| --- | --- |
| **No public links** | No share link, file request, published page or Send & Track from their account. Links that already exist keep working. |
| **Share only with the family** | Files, pages and workspaces can be shared with the people of the family only, nobody else. |
| **Purchases through you** | No subscription or payment from their account: they ask you. |
| **Stay in the family** | They cannot leave the family or delete their account on their own. |

## Change the controls

1. In the family console, open **Members**.

2. On your child's row, click **Parental controls**.

3. Turn controls on or off, then save.

   **Parental controls saved** confirms it.

You can change them at any time; nothing your child already made goes away. The manager and co-managers can manage them. When **Confirm sensitive actions** is on, loosening a control asks for your password first.

## When your child asks to lift a control

Your child can ask to lift a control from their family page. The request appears in the To do list of the Overview page: **Approve** turns that control off for them, **Decline** keeps it.

When your child turns 15, Drime offers to end the child status: every control is lifted and they stay a member.

## What your child sees

- With **Purchases through you**, their billing page says that purchases go through you.
- With **Stay in the family**, trying to leave tells them that only you can take their account out of the family.
