# Create your Drime account

Sign up for Drime with your email address, verify it with the code you receive, and set up your account in a few steps. You start on the free plan.

Creating a Drime account takes a minute. You start on the free plan, with no card required.

## Sign up

1. Open [https://app.drime.cloud](https://app.drime.cloud), or click **Get started for free** on drime.cloud.

2. Under **Welcome to Drime**, enter your email address and click **Continue**.

   Drime checks whether an account already exists for this address. If it does, you are asked for your password instead: see [Sign in to Drime](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/sign-in).

3. On **Sign up for free**, choose a password and type it again.

   Your first and last name are optional.

4. Click **Create account**.

By continuing, you accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy & Cookie Policy.

### Choose a strong enough password

The strength meter under the password must reach at least **Fair**: **Create account** stays disabled before that. A password built from your name or your email address is refused. If the password is too weak, **This password is too easy to guess. Make it longer, or mix in words that have nothing to do with each other.** appears.

## Verify your email address

Drime sends a 6-digit code to your email address. On **Verify your email**, enter it and click **Next**. The code is valid for 30 minutes. Until you enter it, Drime shows only this page.

**Resend code** sends a new code: the previous one stops working, so use the latest email.

## Set up your account

A short setup follows:

1. **Create your profile.**: check your name and add a photo if you want.
2. **How will you use Drime?**: choose **Personal use** or **Professional / Team**.
3. With **Personal use**, choose what you want to do first, or click **Skip**. With **Professional / Team**, Drime asks your role and what brings you to Drime, then lets you create your workspace (a name and an optional logo) and add teammates.

You can skip every step after the usage choice. If you leave in the middle, the setup resumes at the next unfinished step. You then land in your Drive, or in your new workspace. Next: [Get started with Drime in five minutes](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/get-started-with-drime).

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **The code you entered is incorrect.** | Check the 6 digits in the latest email. |
| **This code has expired. Please request a new one.** | The code is more than 30 minutes old. Click **Resend code**. |
| **No verification code found. Please request a new one.** | Click **Resend code**. |
| **This domain is blacklisted.** | This email domain is refused. Use another address. |
| You are asked for a password you never set | An account already exists for this address. Sign in, or reset the password: see [Reset a forgotten password](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/reset-your-password). |

## Good to know

- Drime has no sign-in with Google, Apple or other accounts: you sign up with your email address.
- Some disposable email domains are refused: **This domain is blacklisted.** appears. Use another address.
