# Create and share albums in the app

Create Drime albums in the mobile app, add photos, pin, rename, share or delete them, back up your phone's own albums and leave an album shared with you.

In the Drime mobile app, **Albums** in the Gallery groups your photos without moving them. It has four tabs: **Drime** for the albums you created, **Device** for your phone's own albums, **Shared** and **Received** for albums shared with others.

## Create an album and add photos

1. Select one or more photos, then tap **Add to album**.

2. In **Select an album**, pick an album, or tap **New album** to create one.

## Manage an album

Open the album's menu to:

- **Pin album** to keep it at the top, and **Unpin album** to undo it;
- **Edit album name**;
- choose a photo and tap **Set as album cover**;
- take a photo out with **Remove from album**;
- share it, like any file: see [Share from the app](https://drime.cloud/support/mobile/share-from-the-app);
- **Delete album**: **The album is removed. Your photos stay in your library.**

## Albums shared with you

Albums others shared with you are under **Received**. To remove one from your albums, tap **Leave album**: **This album will no longer appear in your albums. The owner keeps it.**

## Your phone's albums

**Device** shows the albums of your phone. A badge marks those that are not backed up yet. Open one to back it up, upload its photos, share them or delete them from your phone.

To have your backed-up phone albums recreated as Drime albums, turn on **Sync albums to cloud** in the backup settings: **Mirror your device albums as Drime albums automatically**.
