The Drime mobile app has a document scanner. It turns the pages you photograph into a single PDF, saved directly in your Drime.

## Scan a document

1. In the Drime app, tap the + button, then **Scan files**.

   You can also tap **Scan** on the Home screen or at the top of a folder.

2. Photograph each page of the document.

   A scan can hold up to 30 pages.

3. In **Save as**, enter the **File name**, then choose the folder in **Save to**.

   By default, the PDF is saved in the **Current folder**.

4. Keep **Make the text searchable (OCR)** turned on if you want to search the text of the PDF later.

   It is on by default. Text recognition is done on your phone.

5. Save the PDF.

   The message **Document saved** confirms it.

The same + button also offers **Upload files**, **Upload photos**, **Take photo** and **Create folder**, and **Upload folder** on Android.

## If a file with the same name already exists

What happens depends on **Duplicate uploads**, in the app **Settings**:

- **Ask each time** (default);
- **Replace existing file**;
- **Keep both files**;
- **Skip file**.

This setting also applies to automatic photo backup.
