# Edit a page together in real time

Work on the same page with other people at the same time: see who is there, where they are writing, and when their changes reach your screen.

Several people can work on the same page at the same time. You see who is there and where they are writing.

## Before you start

Everyone who edits must be able to edit the page: share it with them as **Can edit**. See [Share a page and work together](https://drime.cloud/support/pages/share-and-collaborate).

## Edit together

1. Open the page at the same time as the others.

2. Look at the page header: the avatars of the other people on the page show there.

3. Write as usual.

   A marker with a person's name shows on the block where their cursor is.

The changes of others reach your screen within a few seconds, not instantly.

## Good to know

- A person's name marker shows only while they are on the page with the editor active, and only if they can edit.
- People who can only view or comment see the page, but do not edit it.
- If something was changed by mistake, go back to an earlier version: see [Page history, export and restore](https://drime.cloud/support/pages/history-export-and-restore).

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| You do not see someone's cursor | They are not on the page right now, their editor is not active, or they can only view the page. |
| Someone's changes do not show yet | Wait a few seconds: changes from others arrive shortly after they type. |
| Someone cannot edit | Give them **Can edit** in the Share dialog of the page. |
| Nobody can change the page | The page is locked. Click the **More** button (⋯), then **Unlock page**. |
