Stop the automatic renewal of your Drime plan. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then your account returns to the free plan.

Cancelling stops the automatic renewal of your plan. You keep everything your plan includes until the end of the period you have already paid. After that date, your account returns to the free plan. Your files are not deleted.

1. At the top right, click your avatar, then **Settings** \> **Billing**.

2. In **Plan**, click **Cancel plan**.

3. Choose a reason, then click **Next**.

Drime asks what made you decide, then shows an answer to your reason. To skip these questions, click **Continue cancellation**: it goes straight to the last screen.

4. On **Sure you want to cancel?**, click **Continue cancellation**.

This last screen shows what changes when the plan ends.

Your plan then shows **Ends on** with the end date. To keep your plan instead, click **Keep my plan** at any step.

## Changed your mind?

Until the end date, you can undo the cancellation: in **Settings** \> **Billing**, click **Renew plan**. Drime confirms it: **This plan will no longer be canceled. It will renew on** and the date.

## What happens when the plan ends

Your account moves to the free plan and its storage. If your files take more space than the free plan holds:

- uploads stop until you free up space, with the message **You have exhausted your allowed space of … Delete some files or upgrade your plan.**;
- your files stay where they are, and nothing is deleted.

The Trash and the earlier versions of your files count toward your storage too: emptying the Trash and removing old versions frees space. See [Check and free up storage space](https://drime.cloud/support/drive/check-and-free-up-storage).

The last screen of the cancellation shows how much storage you would have and whether you would be over the limit. See [Drime plans compared](https://drime.cloud/support/plans-and-billing/plans-and-storage).

## If it doesn't work

### You don't see Cancel plan

| What you see in **Plan** | Why |
| --- | --- |
| **Free plan** and **See plans** | You are on the free plan: there is nothing to cancel. |
| **Lifetime access, never expires.** | A lifetime plan is paid once and does not renew: there is nothing to cancel. See [Lifetime plans and stacking](https://drime.cloud/support/plans-and-billing/lifetime-plans). |
| **Manage on PayPal** | Your subscription is paid with PayPal. The cancellation may be handled on PayPal: if you cannot cancel there, [contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support). |

## Refunds

There is no refund action in the app. When you subscribe, the checkout states: **Previous payments will not be refunded upon cancellation unless required by law.** For a refund request, email [contact@drime.cloud](mailto:contact@drime.cloud).

If you subscribed as a consumer, Drime's [terms of sale](https://drime.cloud/terms-of-sales) give you the right to cancel your subscription and obtain a refund within 14 days. The refund is then made within 14 days of your withdrawal. To use this right, email [contact@drime.cloud](mailto:contact@drime.cloud).

> **Tip**
>
> Cancelling your plan does not delete your account. If you want to delete it too, see [Delete your Drime account](https://drime.cloud/support/account-and-settings/delete-your-account).
