**What is Drime Family?**

Drime Family lets one paying account, the manager, share their plan's storage with the people of their household. Each person keeps their own private account: nobody sees anyone else's files, the manager included. A shared Family Room can hold what belongs to everyone.

See [What is Drime Family?](https://drime.cloud/support/family/what-is-drime-family).

**Which plans include Drime Family?**

You can create a family with:

- a Lifetime plan of 3 TB or more;
- Professional or Advanced, through the launch offer, for 30 days from October 19, 2026.

A dedicated Family plan will follow. See [Family billing and the launch offer](https://drime.cloud/support/family/family-billing).

**Can I join a family if my plan doesn't include it?**

Yes. Anyone can join a family when its manager invites them, whatever their plan. Joining doesn't cancel your own plan: if you pay for one, it keeps running and its space is used first.

See [Join a family](https://drime.cloud/support/family/join-a-family).

**How do I start a family?**

At the top right, click your avatar, then **Settings**, and choose **Family**. This entry is there for every account.

- If your plan includes Drime Family, click **Set up my family**. See [Create a family](https://drime.cloud/support/family/create-a-family).
- Otherwise, you see **Your plan does not include Drime Family.** and **See plans with Drime Family**.

**How can I share space with my family without Drime Family?**

Create a workspace and invite your family members to it. See [Create a workspace for your team](https://drime.cloud/support/workspaces/create-a-workspace).

In the workspace settings, **Upload billing** decides whose storage the files use: the member who uploads them, or the workspace owner. See [How storage works in a workspace](https://drime.cloud/support/workspaces/workspace-storage).
