# Lifetime plans and stacking

How Drime Lifetime plans work, what changes compared to a subscription, and how to stack several Lifetime plans before December 1, 2026.

A Lifetime plan is paid once and never renews. It has no end date: "Lifetime" refers to the operational life of the product, not to the life of the buyer. Lifetime plans may be sold by Drime or by authorised resellers such as StackSocial. In every case, your contract is with Drime.

## What is different from a subscription

- No renewal and no end date. In **Settings** \> **Billing**, your plan shows **Lifetime access, never expires.**
- No plan change from the app. A Lifetime plan cannot be switched to another plan: the app answers **A lifetime plan cannot be switched to another plan.** The **Change plan**, **Cancel plan** and **Payment method** options are not shown.
- The limits of the plan you bought. Storage, workspaces and members are those of the Lifetime product you purchased.

If you already pay a monthly or annual subscription when you buy a Lifetime plan from Drime's own checkout, that subscription is cancelled at the end of its current period. It is not cut off right away and is not refunded. For a code bought from a reseller, check your billing settings after redeeming it, and [contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support) if your subscription is still set to renew.

## Activate a Lifetime code

If you bought your plan from a reseller, you received a code. Activate it in **Settings** \> **Redeem code**. See [Redeem a Lifetime or promo code](https://drime.cloud/support/plans-and-billing/redeem-a-code).

> **Warning**
>
> Redeeming a new code replaces your current plan. The app says it before you confirm: **Stacking multiple codes is not automatic: redeeming a new code will replace your current one.** To combine several plans, ask Drime instead (below).

## Stack several Lifetime plans

Stacking means adding the storage of another Lifetime plan to the one you already have. It is done by the Drime team, never automatically by the app:

1. Buy the additional Lifetime plan, but do not redeem its code if you already have a Lifetime plan.
2. Contact Drime by email at [contact@drime.cloud](mailto:contact@drime.cloud), or open a request from the app (see [Contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support)).
3. The team adds the storage to your account.

What stacking changes:

- It increases your **storage** only. The number of members per workspace stays the same.
- The stacked storage is usable in all your workspaces, even though the workspace screens do not show the stacked total.

> **Stacking ends after December 1, 2026**
>
> For every Lifetime plan, whatever its size and wherever you bought it, the purchase must be made and the stacking request sent before December 1, 2026. The team may process requests sent before that date afterwards. After it, extra storage is only available as a monthly or annual add-on, by contacting Drime. Your Lifetime plans themselves do not end.

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **A lifetime plan cannot be switched to another plan.** | Lifetime plans cannot be changed from the app. To get more storage, ask Drime to stack another Lifetime plan (before December 1, 2026), or for an add-on. |
| No **Change plan**, **Cancel plan** or **Payment method** in **Settings** \> **Billing** | That is expected: a Lifetime plan is paid once and does not renew. |
| Your previous plan is gone after you redeemed a code | Redeeming a code replaces your current plan. [Contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support) to combine them. |
