# Redeem a Lifetime or promo code

Activate a Lifetime code bought from a reseller such as StackSocial, or a promotional code, in your Drime settings. Each new code replaces the previous one.

If you bought a Lifetime plan from a reseller such as StackSocial, or received a promotional code, you activate it from your account settings.

> **Warning**
>
> A new code replaces the plan of your current code: codes do not add up. If you already have a Lifetime plan and want to add another, do not redeem the new code yourself: see [Lifetime plans and stacking](https://drime.cloud/support/plans-and-billing/lifetime-plans#stacking).

## Redeem a code

1. At the top right, click your avatar, then **Settings**.

2. Click **Redeem code**.

3. In **Enter your redeem code**, paste your code.

4. Click **Redeem**.

The message **Your code has been successfully redeemed!** confirms it. Your new plan appears in **Settings** \> **Billing**.

>
> If you pay a monthly or annual subscription, contact Drime support before you redeem a Lifetime code, so that your subscription is handled correctly. See [Contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support).

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **The entered code isn't valid.** | The code does not exist or has already been used: each code works only once. Check that you copied the whole code, without spaces before or after it, and, for a reseller code, that it is the one to use on Drime. If it still fails, [contact Drime support](https://drime.cloud/support/getting-started/contact-drime-support) with the code and where you bought it. |
| Your earlier Lifetime plan disappeared after redeeming | A new code replaces the plan of your current code. To combine plans, see [Lifetime plans and stacking](https://drime.cloud/support/plans-and-billing/lifetime-plans#stacking). |
| You don't see the new plan | Open **Settings** \> **Billing**: the plan of the code is shown there after **Your code has been successfully redeemed!** |
