Your Vault works in the Drime web app and also in some of the Drime apps. Your files stay end-to-end encrypted everywhere: each app decrypts them on your device with your Vault Pass.

| App | Vault |
| --- | --- |
| Web app | Yes: create, unlock, add and manage files |
| Drime Desktop for Windows | Yes, your personal Vault |
| Drime for iPhone and iPad | Yes: create, unlock, add and manage files |
| Drime for Android | Yes: create, unlock, add and manage files |

## Where you can create a Vault

You can create a Vault in the web app or in the Drime mobile app. Drime Desktop cannot create one: create it first on the web or on your phone, then open it on your computer. See [Create your Vault](https://drime.cloud/support/vault/create-your-vault).

## Drime Desktop on Windows

In Drime Desktop for Windows, your personal Vault appears as a **Vault** folder on your computer while it is unlocked. You unlock it with your Vault Pass, and you can choose to remember it on that computer. It locks again when you sign out of the app or quit Drime.

The steps, the options and the error messages are in [Use your Vault in Drime Desktop](https://drime.cloud/support/desktop/vault-on-your-computer).

> **Note**
>
> Drime Desktop shows only your personal Vault. A workspace's shared Vault opens in the web app and in the Drime mobile app.

## iPhone and iPad

The Drime app for iPhone and iPad has a **Vault** tab, with the same features as on Android, below.

## Android

The Drime app for Android has a **Vault** tab. On both systems, in the Drime app:

- you can create a vault, or several (your plan sets how many), and switch between them with **Switch Vault**. In a workspace, only the owner creates a vault;
- after you unlock a vault with its Vault Pass, the app offers a **Vault PIN** of 4 to 12 digits, with **Unlock with fingerprint** as an option. In recent versions of the app, each vault has its own PIN. After 5 wrong PINs, the PIN is removed: unlock with your Vault Pass;
- the vault locks itself after 15 minutes by default. Change it in Settings, under **Vault auto-lock**;
- you create folders, add files, photos, a text file or a scan, and rename, move, download or delete them. Deleted files go to the **Vault trash**;
- you cannot share a Vault file or create a link from the app, and photos are not backed up to the Vault automatically.
