# Leave a workspace

How to leave a Drime workspace you were invited to, and what happens to the files you created there.

**How do I leave a workspace?**

Open the workspace switcher at the bottom of the side panel, while you are in that workspace, and choose **Leave workspace**. Confirm.

**What happens to the files I created in the workspace?**

They stay in the workspace. Drime warns you before you confirm: **All resources you've created in the workspace will be transferred to workspace owner.** They then count toward the owner's storage.

**Can the owner leave their own workspace?**

No. The owner cannot leave the workspace, and the ownership cannot be transferred to another member.

**Can I join again later?**

Yes, if a member allowed to invite people sends you a new invitation. See [Accept or decline a workspace invitation](https://drime.cloud/support/workspaces/join-a-workspace).
