# Personal space and team workspaces

The difference between your personal space and a team workspace, how to switch between them, and how to rename your personal space.

Everyone has a personal space. Team workspaces come on top of it, for files you share with a team.

Members of a team workspace use the features of the owner's plan inside that workspace.

## Switch between spaces

The workspace switcher is at the bottom of the side panel. It shows the space you are in, for example **Default** with **Personal workspace** under it. Open it to choose another workspace.

From the same menu you can also open the workspace's settings, **Invite members**, leave a workspace or **Create workspace**.

## Rename your personal space

You can give your personal space its own name and picture with **Customize your drive**. Only you see this name: your files, links and shares do not change.
