**Can I transfer a file or a folder to someone else?**

No. Drime has no way to transfer the ownership of a file or a folder to another person. To hand files over:

- share them with **Can edit**, so the other person can work on them: see [Share a file or folder with people](https://drime.cloud/support/sharing-and-collaboration/share-files-and-folders);
- or send them a share link: on the link page, **Save to Drime** copies the item into their own Drime account. See [What visitors see on your share link](https://drime.cloud/support/sharing-and-collaboration/what-visitors-see).

**Can I give my workspace to another member?**

No. A workspace can't be transferred, and its owner can't be removed: Drime refuses with **Cannot remove the workspace owner.**

**What happens to a member's files when they leave the workspace?**

When a member leaves the workspace or is removed, the files they created there are transferred to the workspace owner. Drime warns them first: **All resources you've created in the workspace will be transferred to workspace owner.** See [Leave a workspace](https://drime.cloud/support/workspaces/leave-a-workspace).

**And in Drime Family?**

Drime Family is the one place where you can hand something over: the manager can make another member the manager of the family. See [Hand the family over to another member](https://drime.cloud/support/family/hand-over-the-family).
