Behind the Cloud – August 2025 Update
4 min read
August was dedicated to performance improvements and deeper technical upgrades. From faster uploads to better video streaming and more stable mobile uploads, this month was about reinforcing Drime’s core.
Upload Performance
Uploads are now up to eight times faster thanks to parallel processing
Failed uploads retry automatically after interruptions
Large folder uploads are now much more stable
Duplicate file handling has been improved
Removed file size limits that previously caused uploads to stop
As a result, uploads are now faster, smoother, and far more stable, especially for users with average connections or large files.
Video and Streaming
We’ve added 4K video encoding support for faster, more stable playback.
This was one of the most requested features, and it significantly improves the experience when streaming large video files directly from Drime.
Mobile updates
We’ve fixed several mobile issues:
Uploaded files being renamed automatically (iOS)
Multi-file selection for upload (iOS)
Full image quality restored instead of cropped thumbnails (Android update pending Play Store approval)
Video preview and thumbnails in development
Upload freeze on large video files → fixed in the next build
Pause and “cancel all uploads” options coming soon
What’s next
Automatic photo uploads
File Requests (under development)
Desktop app rewrite (sync system overhaul)
Infrastructure migration to dedicated servers
Closing Thoughts
August was about strengthening what matters most — performance and stability.
These foundational updates are essential for everything that comes next, from the new desktop app to advanced features on mobile.
Every improvement, big or small, moves Drime closer to becoming the most reliable European cloud for creative teams.
