Add a text or logo watermark
A watermark shows who a photo or a document belongs to, or what it is for. Write your name, your website or a word like "Confidential", or use your logo: a PNG with a transparent background works best.
The same tool works on photos and PDFs. Choose a text or a logo, place it, adjust how it looks, and the preview shows the result on your first file before you apply it.
How to add a watermark in 3 steps
Add your files. Drop your photos or PDFs on the page, click Choose files, or paste an image with Ctrl+V. You can add several at once.
Set your watermark. Type your text or add your logo, then choose its position, opacity, size, rotation and color. The preview follows every change.
Apply and download. Click Add watermark, then Download next to a file, or Download all (ZIP) to get every file at once.
Place it: center, corners or a repeated pattern
Put the watermark in the center of the picture, in one of the four corners for a discreet signature, or choose the mosaic to repeat it across the whole image or page.
The mosaic covers everything, so the watermark cannot be cropped out: it is the safest choice for a photo you sell or a document you send to someone you do not know.
Opacity, size, rotation and color
Opacity makes the watermark lighter or stronger: low enough to keep your picture readable, high enough to stay visible. Size follows the picture, so a watermark keeps its proportions on a small photo and on a large one. Rotation turns it from -180° to 180°.
For a text, choose a color: dark, light, red, green, or any other from the color panel.
Watermark several files at once
Add several photos and PDFs at once: the same watermark, with the same settings, goes on each of them, one after the other. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and JPEG XL images keep their format, an iPhone HEIC photo becomes a JPG anyone can open, and other formats, such as TIFF or BMP, come out as PNG.
In a PDF, the watermark goes on every page. A PDF with a digital signature is left as it is, so its signature stays valid, and a PDF locked by its author is not changed.
Private by design: your files never leave your device
Your files are watermarked in your browser, on your device. They are never sent to Drime or to anyone else, and nothing is stored: that matters for an ID document, a contract or your personal photos.
The tool is free and needs no account. To keep your files safe afterwards, Drime gives you cloud storage with a free plan of 20 GB.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to a photo?
Drop your photo on this page, type your text or add your logo, then choose the position, opacity, size, rotation and color. When it looks right, download the watermarked photo. It takes a few seconds and needs no account.
How do I put a watermark on a PDF?
Add your PDF the same way as an image, set your text or logo and its style, then download the watermarked PDF. The PDF is processed in your browser, so it is never sent to a server.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose a logo watermark instead of text and add your image. You can then set its position, opacity, size and rotation, like a text watermark.
Can I repeat the watermark across the whole image?
Yes. Choose the mosaic position to repeat your watermark over the whole image or page. It is the hardest kind of watermark to crop out, which helps protect photos and documents you share.
How do I make a watermark transparent?
Lower the opacity setting until the watermark is light enough to keep your image readable but still visible. You can combine it with a light color and a slight rotation for a classic watermark look.
Can I watermark several files at once?
Yes. Add several photos or PDFs at once: the same watermark, with the same position and style, is applied to each of them. Then download your files. Nothing is uploaded, even for a large batch.
Are my files uploaded to add the watermark?
No. The watermark is added inside your browser, on your device. Your photos and PDFs are never sent to Drime or to anyone else, which matters for ID documents, contracts and personal photos.
Is this watermark tool free?
Yes. The watermark tool is free and needs no sign-up. If you want a safe place for your files afterwards, Drime offers cloud storage with a free plan of 20 GB.
