Organise with Starred, tags, colours and Quick access
Mark your important files as starred, tag files to find them later, give folders a colour and pin what you use most to Quick access in the sidebar.
Four tools help you get back quickly to what matters: Starred, tags, folder colours and Quick access.
#Star a file or folder
Right-click the item and choose Add to starred, or press Ctrl + Alt + S (Cmd + Option + S on a Mac).
Your starred items are listed in Starred in the sidebar. To unstar an item, choose Remove from starred.

#Tag files
Right-click the file or folder and choose Tags.
Type a tag, up to 60 characters, and confirm.
Tags also appear in the item's details panel, under Tags, where you can add one directly in the Add a tag… field.
You can then filter search results by tag: see Find files with search.
#Give a file or folder a colour
Right-click the file or folder: under COLOR, at the bottom of the menu, click a colour. The + button lets you choose any other colour, and the first swatch removes the colour.
#Pin to Quick access
Right-click a file or folder and choose Pin to Quick Access. It appears under Quick access in the sidebar, where you can organise your own sections. You can also drag items onto Quick access.
To remove it, right-click it and choose Unpin from Quick Access.

#If it doesn't work
What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
A tag is refused | A tag can be up to 60 characters: shorten it. |
There is no COLOR row | It is at the bottom of the right-click menu, in the web app on a computer. In the mobile app, open a folder's ⋮ menu and choose Change color. |
You unpinned or unstarred something by mistake | Pin or star it again: the item itself is not touched. |
