Use Drime on Linux or a server
There is no Drime app for Linux yet. Use Drime in your browser, sync or back up with rclone or Duplicati, and see where WebDAV and the Linux app stand.
Is there a Drime app for Linux?
Not yet. Drime Desktop runs on Windows and macOS. A Linux app is planned on the Drime roadmap, with no release date.
Can I use Drime in a browser on Linux?
Yes. The Drime web app works in any modern browser, on Linux too: open drime.cloud and sign in. You can upload, download, share and use every web tool, including the Vault.
How do I sync or back up files from Linux or a server?
Use rclone. It runs on Linux and most server environments, and has an official Drime backend from rclone 1.73. You can copy and sync folders, script backups or run them on a schedule. See Rclone, Drime CLI and WebDAV.
For versioned backups of a computer, Duplicati also runs on Linux and has a built-in Drime Cloud destination. See Back up your computer to Drime with Duplicati.
To back up a Synology NAS, see Back up a Synology NAS to Drime with rclone.
Can I mount Drime as a drive on Linux?
rclone can mount a remote as a folder, and the Drime blog mentions it for Drime. Keep the limits of the Drime backend in mind: no checksums and no settable modification times. See rclone errors, checksums and modification times.
Is WebDAV available?
Not yet. WebDAV is planned, with no release date. Until then, use rclone.
What about the Drime CLI?
The Drime roadmap lists a Drime CLI, released in November 2025. For scripts and servers today, rclone is the documented way.
What do I need to connect rclone or Duplicati?
An API token, created in Settings > Developers. It replaces your password for these tools, and you can revoke it at any time. See Create an API token.
