Family settings and trusted contact
The General, Products, Security and E-mails settings of a Drime Family, and how a trusted contact can take over if the manager is away.
Open the family console, then Settings. The manager and co-managers can change products and limits; the protections, the trusted contact and dissolving the family are the manager's.

#General
Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Family name | The name members see, also used in e-mails. |
Invitation validity | How long invitations stay valid: 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. |
Default limit for new members | The storage limit new members get. See Family storage and asking for more space. |
Danger zone | Dissolve the family. See Dissolve a family. |
#Products
Turn Vault, Sign, Send & Track, Pages and Whiteboards on or off for members, with Exceptions for specific members. The manager and co-managers always keep access, and nobody loses what they already made.
#Security
Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Require two-factor authentication | Only accounts with two-factor authentication on can accept an invitation. Members already in the family stay. |
Lock invitations | Nobody can join, pending invitations included. |
Confirm sensitive actions | Asks for your password, plus a code with two-factor authentication, for sensitive actions such as removing someone. Dissolving always asks. |
Members see each other | Members see each other's names, nothing more. |
Trusted contact | See below. |
Turning off a protection asks you to confirm it is you.
#Trusted contact
The manager can name a member as Trusted contact, and choose under Without you for how long they must be away from Drime first: 30, 60, 90 (default) or 180 days. Using Drime on the web, in the apps or in the desktop app counts as being there.

After that time, the trusted contact can ask to take over:
You get an e-mail and have 7 days to say no with Keep the family. Coming back to Drime also cancels the request.
Without an answer, they become the manager and you stay a member.
Nobody's files move. Handing the family over clears the trusted contact. See Hand the family over to another member.
#E-mails
Choose which e-mails the family sends: When someone joins, When someone leaves and Storage alerts.
