I got a new sign-in alert

Drime emails you when your account is used from a new browser or system. Check whether it was you, and secure your account if it was not.

Updated Web
Settings > Security, Web browsers: the browsers signed in to the demo account, this one first, with their last activity; nobody signed out

Symptoms

You received an email from Drime with the subject New sign-in to your … account.

Possible causes

Drime sends this email when your account is signed in from a browser and system it has not seen before. It is often you: a new computer, a new browser, or a browser whose data was cleared. You cannot turn this alert off.

Checks

  1. Read the email: it gives the time of the sign-in, the browser, the system and the IP address.

  2. Open Settings > Security and look at Web browsers: it lists every browser signed in to your account, with the last activity, the IP address and the location.

How to fix it

#It was you

Nothing to do. Drime sends this alert only for a browser and type of device it has not seen on your account before.

#It was not you, or you are not sure

  1. Change your password right away: see Change your password. Changing it signs out your other sessions.

  2. In Settings > Security, under Web browsers, check the list again and use Logout other sessions if any browser you do not recognise is still there. See See and sign out your sessions and devices.

  3. Turn on two-factor authentication, so a password alone is no longer enough to sign in: see Turn on two-factor authentication.

Still stuck?

If you can no longer sign in, or you see files or shares you did not create, contact support and describe what you noticed.
