Invite or remove family members
Invite people to your Drime Family by e-mail or link, follow invitations, name a co-manager and remove a member. What each role can do.
As the manager or a co-manager, you invite the people of your household and manage who is in the family.
#Invite people
In the family console, click Invite members.
The button is on the Overview, Members and Invitations pages.
Type one or more addresses in Enter email addresses.
The Invite to your family dialog shows how many places are left. You can enter up to 20 addresses at once.

Choose the Family storage they can use.
No limit, Up to a limit or Own space only.
Optional: add a few words in Message (optional).
Click Send invitation.
Each person gets an e-mail with Join the family. The invitation only works for the address it was sent to, and each pending invitation takes a place in the family.
#Other ways to add someone
Under Other ways to add someone:
Copy link copies an invitation link. Whoever opens it first can join, once, with any account, while it is valid: only send it to the person you mean to invite.
Create your child's account creates an account for a child who has none yet. See Create an account for your child.
#Follow your invitations
The Invitations page lists Pending invitations and All invitations. For each pending invitation:
Copy the link copies its link again.
Send again sends the e-mail again. Wait 10 minutes between two sends of the same invitation.
Cancel the invitation stops it and frees its place.

How long an invitation stays valid is set in the family settings, under Invitation validity: 3, 7, 14 or 30 days (7 by default). See Family settings and trusted contact.
#Roles and co-managers
The Members page lists everyone with their role, their family storage, two-factor authentication, Family Room access and the date they joined. A Child badge marks children's accounts.

Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
Manager | Everything. Only the manager keeps the plan and its billing, the Family Room and the trusted contact, names or removes a co-manager, hands the family over and dissolves it. |
Co-manager | Invitations, storage limits, products, parental controls and family activity. Can remove members, but not the manager, a co-manager or the trusted contact. |
Member | No management. |
Neither the manager nor a co-manager can see members' files.
To name a co-manager, the manager clicks Make co-manager on that person's row and confirms. They get an e-mail, and you can take the role back later.
#Remove someone
On the Members page, click Remove from the family on the person's row.

Keep or clear Let them keep a copy of what they added to the Family Room.
It is checked by default: the copy goes into their own Drive.
Click Remove.
Removed from the family confirms it.
Their account and files stay theirs. They go back to their own storage, lose access to the Family Room and get an e-mail.
When Confirm sensitive actions is on in the family settings, Drime asks for your password first (Confirm it is you), plus a code if you use two-factor authentication. This also applies to naming a co-manager.
To give the family to someone else, see Hand the family over to another member.
