Share a link or invite people: which to choose
Compare inviting people by email with sharing a link in Drime, who can open the item, permissions, notifications and protection, to pick the right one.
Drime gives you two ways to share a file or folder: invite people by email, or share a link. Both start from Share on the item.

#When to invite people
Invite people when you know who should have access, want to give each person their own rights, or need someone to edit: upload into a shared folder, create folders, rename or move items. See Share a file or folder with people and Sharing permissions explained.
#When to share a link
Share a link when you want to send a file or folder to many people, or post it somewhere, without managing a list of names. Visitors don't need an account. See Create and copy a share link and Protect a link with a password or an expiration date.
