Who can see my files?

By default, only you see your files in Drime. Who else can see them through shares, links, workspaces and Drime Family, and how to check and remove access.

Who can see my files?

By default, only you. Someone else can see an item only if:

  • you share it with them, by e-mail;

  • you create a share link and they have it;

  • it is in a team workspace they are a member of.

Your personal space is yours alone, even when you are a member of team workspaces.

How do I check who has access to an item?

Right-click it and choose Share. Who has access lists the owner and every person it is shared with. Next to each person you can change their access or remove them. Unshare removes everyone at once. See Change or remove access and stop sharing.

Who sees the files of a team workspace?

The members of the workspace, according to their role. The workspace owner can hide an item from chosen members with Restrict access. See Manage files in a workspace and restrict access.

Can Drime read my files?

Files in your Vault are end-to-end encrypted: they are encrypted in your browser before they are uploaded, and only your Vault Pass can decrypt them. Drime never receives that password or the keys. Drime can still see the folder structure, the encrypted sizes, dates and who uploaded each file. See What is Vault?.

Your other files are not end-to-end encrypted: they are encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted in Europe on ISO 27001 certified servers.

In Drime Family, does the manager see my files?

No. Each member keeps their own private account: the manager sees your storage use and a few account details, never your files. See What is Drime Family?.
