Are there download or bandwidth limits on links?
Drime sets no bandwidth, download count or speed limit on share links. What links can limit, why a link says Too many attempts, and how folders download.
What can I limit on a link?
A link can have an expiration date, a password, and the Allow download setting: turn it off and visitors can only preview the content. See Protect a link with a password or an expiration date and Customise a share link.
Why does a link say Too many attempts?
To protect links from abuse, Drime slows down a visitor who opens the same link a very large number of times in a short while, or who types too many wrong passwords. The link page then shows Too many attempts with Wait a few minutes, then try again. For wrong passwords, the message is Too many attempts. Try again later.
Wait a few minutes, then click Try again.
Can visitors download a whole folder?
Can I get a direct link to a file, to embed it elsewhere?
No. A share link always opens Drime's link page, where visitors see the file and can download it. Drime has no direct file links.
To create a link, see Create and copy a share link.
