My storage is full
Drime refuses your uploads because your storage is full, or your usage looks higher than your files? Where the space goes and how to free it.

Symptoms
You have exhausted your allowed space of … appears when you upload.
You've used …% of your storage or Your storage is full appears in a banner, with Get more storage.
The workspace owner's storage is full. … appears when you upload to a workspace.
The storage meter shows more than the size of your files.
Possible causes
Your storage counts more than your visible files:
the Trash, until it is emptied;
earlier versions of your files, since October 15, 2026;
your Vault;
files of workspaces that bill uploads to you.
Click the storage meter at the bottom of the sidebar: Storage breakdown shows how much each of these takes.

In a workspace that bills uploads to its owner, new files use the owner's storage: when it is full, nobody can add files there.
How to fix it
#Free up space
Empty the Trash: see Restore deleted files from the Trash.
Delete old versions: for all your files at once, open Settings > General > File versioning and, next to Delete all older versions of my files, click Delete. File by file: see Restore a previous version of a file.
Find duplicates and large files in Settings > Storage: see Check and free up storage space.
The freed space can take a little while to appear.
Each file keeps up to 10 versions. To stop new versions from taking space, turn off Enable file versioning in Settings > General > File versioning.
#The workspace owner's storage is full
Ask the workspace owner to free up space or upgrade.
#Get more space
Change your plan from Settings > Storage, under Plan: Manage plan, or See plans on the Free plan. You can also earn free storage by inviting friends.
