Are pages encrypted? Can I use them offline?
How your pages are stored, how to write an end-to-end encrypted page in your Vault, and what happens to Pages when you lose your internet connection.
Are my pages end-to-end encrypted?
Pages you create in Pages are stored in your Drive, like your other files: each page is a file in your Drive. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
For a page only you can decrypt, write it in your Vault instead (see below).
How do I write an end-to-end encrypted page?
Unlock your Vault, click Create, then Encrypted page. The page is encrypted in your browser with your Vault Pass, like every file in the Vault.
See Add, open and manage files in your Vault and What is Vault?.
Who can see my pages?
When you share a page, the people you invite, or who have its link, can open it with the access you chose. See Share a page and work together.
Can I use Pages offline?
In the browser, not to edit: Pages need an internet connection to save your changes. If your connection drops, a page you opened recently may still open from your browser's memory, so you can read it. Wait until you are back online before you change it: changes you make while offline may not be saved.
In the Drime mobile app, yes: changes you make offline are saved on your phone and sent when you are back online. If the page was changed elsewhere in the meantime, your version is kept.
How do I keep a copy of a page for offline use?
Export it: click Page options, then Export, and choose PDF, Markdown, HTML or JSON (Portable). See Page history, export and restore.
