Use a shared Vault in a workspace
Create an end-to-end encrypted Vault for a workspace, share its Vault Pass with your team, and know what members can do in it.
A workspace can have its own Vault, shared by its members. Like your personal Vault, it is end-to-end encrypted, and everyone opens it with the same Vault Pass.
#Create the workspace Vault
The workspace owner creates it, or a member whose role allows Create a Vault.
Switch to the workspace, then open Vault in the left rail.
Before the workspace has a Vault, its owner sees Create a new Vault.

Choose the Vault Pass of the workspace, type it twice, then create the Vault.
The steps are the same as for your personal Vault: see Create your Vault.
#Share the Vault Pass with your team
Members open the workspace Vault with the same Vault Pass. Give it to them yourself, outside Drime: Drime never sees, stores or sends it.
#What members can do
Members unlock the workspace Vault with its Vault Pass and work with its files.
Only the owner can rename the Vault, change its colour or reset it.
Files a member uploads to the workspace Vault count against that member's own storage.
Before the owner creates it, a member sees No Vault in this workspace yet.

Workspace admins can turn the Vault off for members in the workspace settings. See Workspace security settings.
#If it doesn't work
What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
No Vault in this workspace yet | The workspace has no Vault yet. Ask its owner to create it, then unlock it with the Vault Pass they give you. |
You cannot find Create a new Vault | Only the owner, or a member whose role allows Create a Vault, can create it. |
The Vault Pass is refused | Check with the owner that you have the right Vault Pass: it is not your account password. See Unlock and lock your Vault. |
There is no Vault in the workspace | A workspace admin may have turned it off for members. |
