Why an account or link can be suspended

When Drime's terms allow it to suspend or close an account, or remove shared content, what you see then, and what you can do about it.

Updated Web

Drime's terms of service set out when Drime may suspend or close an account, or remove content. This page sums them up: the terms themselves always apply.

#When Drime may suspend or close an account

According to the terms, Drime may suspend or close an account that:

  • breaks the terms, including the acceptable use rules below;

  • stays inactive for 12 months in a row.

In these cases, Drime gives reasonable notice by email, with a chance to fix the issue and to export your data first.

Drime may act without notice when the breach is serious, including a breach of the acceptable use rules, when there is a real risk of harm, or when the law requires it. Your data can then no longer be accessed or exported.

#What is not allowed

The terms do not allow, among other things:

  • illegal content, malware, spam and harassment;

  • trying to access accounts or systems without permission, or impersonating someone;

  • overloading the service, or reselling it;

  • opening several free accounts, or opening a new account after one was closed for a breach of the terms.

#Shared content and copyright

Content reported as infringing someone's copyright can be removed. Repeated copyright notices can lead to a suspension, and repeat infringers can have their account closed.

To report a link or content yourself, see Report an abusive link or content.
